Skillet Pizza

Every Valentine’s Day my boyfriend and I make Skillet Pizza, it started as an accident and continued as a tradition. It is a super simple recipe that is easily customized, because it’s pizza.

This recipe makes enough dough for two individual pizzas.

Pizza Dough

  • 1 package Active Dry Yeast
  • 1tsp White Sugar
  • 1c Warm Water (110 Degrees F)
  • 2 1/2c Flour
  • 2tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1tsp Salt

Skillet Pizza

  • 2tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 jar Marinara Sauce
  • 1 package Mozzarella Cheese
  • Any additional Toppings desired

Preheat oven to 450 Degrees and place the skillet(s) in the oven to heat.

Dissolve Yeast and Sugar in the Warm Water, until creamy or about 10 minutes.

Stir in the Flour, Oil, and Salt until smooth and let rest for another 10 minutes.

Turn out onto a lightly floured surface, cut in half, knead, and roll halves into circles that will fit into each skillet.

Take the skillets out of the oven, brush with Olive Oil, and carefully place a rolled dough half in each.

Top with Marinara Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, and any other desired Toppings.

Cook for about 20 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
